The 20th International Camp for Medical Students 2022 is a routine activity carried out by the Federation of Islamic Medical Association (FIMA) every year. After being constrained by the Covid-19 pandemic, Indonesia finally had the opportunity to become the host in 2022 with the theme “effective habits of successful and influential medical professionals”. Complementary FIMA by the world medical youth association (WAMY) in collaboration with the Indonesian Islamic medical association (IIMA) and Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY). This year was witnessed by medical students from various countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Bangladesh. This camp will be held on 30 December – 4 November 2022 in Karanganyar, Central Java, Indonesia. Activities include leadership presentations, social projects, interactive sessions, tourism field trips, and thematic lectures on current Islamic issues with local and international speakers.

FIMA is a non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organization and registered body of 23 IMAs and 30 member associations worldwide. Representing around 50,000 Muslim medical and health professionals. FIMA’s mission is to provide a platform for Muslim doctors around the world in the fields of education, medical ethics, and humanitarian and medical assistance.

The objectives of this camp activity are to encourage the unity and welfare of Muslim medical and health professionals, promote health services, education and research through the application of Islamic principles, prioritize the Islamic perspective of medical ethics, mobilize professional, and economic resources for medical, humanitarian assistance and collaborate with partners. for the mercy and healing of mankind.
