IDENTITY OF FACULTY

The Faculty of Medicine as a part of the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, compiles the vision and mission, goals and objectives of the faculty based on the vision and mission and statutes of the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, as well as guidelines for Muhammadiyah higher education institutions.

Vision, mission, goals and objectives are crucial, because they will determine the direction and objectives of the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine, so that in the process of determining the vision, mission, goals and objectives, the first step is a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses). , Opportunities and Threats) by a team formed by the dean and actively involving various stakeholders (internal stakeholders: lecturers, students, employees and external stakeholders: Director of the Hospital, Doctors who own clinics and alumni). Based on the input obtained from these stakeholders, it was then formulated in special meetings regarding the formulation of the vision and mission of the Faculty of Medicine, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (FK UMS).

The meeting was attended by the Faculty Leaders and Faculty Senate and chaired directly by the Dean of the UMS Medical Faculty which resulted in the formulation of the vision, mission, goals and achievement strategies. This formulation is then ratified by the Dean with a Dean’s Decree.
