Saturday, October 25, 2025 — A total of 187 medical students were deployed to Jipangan Village, within the working area of Banyudono II Primary Health Center (Puskesmas), Boyolali Regency, to conduct a Field Lab activity themed: “Larval Survey and Dengue Fever Prevention Education for Families.”
This activity is part of the third-semester Tropical Medicine Block, integrating medical science with community service and public health engagement.
Through field surveys and educational outreach, the students actively contribute to preventing the spread of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), particularly during this current rainy season.
The opening ceremony was held at the Jipangan Village Hall, attended by: dr. Erika Diana Risanti, M.Sc., Vice Dean II of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. Yusuf Alam Romadhon, M.Kes., Sp.KKLP, Head of the Center for Family Medicine Studies, dr. Retno Sintowati, M.Sc., Head of Field Lab, dr. Febti Nila Utami, Head of Banyudono II Primary Health Center, Mr. Tri Priyanto, Head of Jipangan Village, Faculty supervisors, village midwife Dwi Rahayui, Amd. Keb., and 17 health cadres of Jipangan Village
Alhamdulillah, the entire series of activities went smoothly, safely, and successfully.
