Professional Registration

Young Doctor Registration is the initial stage for students of the Doctor Professional Study Program at FK UMS to enter the clinical education phase. This process is designed to be transparent and structured as a form of selection for the students’ academic, professional, and ethical readiness to face experience-based learning in various teaching hospital settings. Through this registration, students are prepared to assume the role of prospective doctors who are competent, *islami* (Islamic), and of high integrity.

To become a professional doctor, not only strong academic knowledge is needed, but also clinical competence that is tested through professional education. In order to produce excellent, high-integrity, and Islam-based doctors, the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (FK UMS) opens registration for the Doctor Professional Education Program for medical bachelor’s graduates who have met the academic requirements. This registration process includes the following selection stages:

Registration Terms

  1. Declared to have passed the Medical Bachelor’s (Sarjana Kedokteran) Yudisium, evidenced by a Diploma or SKL (Surat Keterangan Lulus – Certificate of Graduation/Completion).
  2. Minimum GPA of , with no “D” grades.
  3. Minimum grade of “B” for Skill Lab courses.
  4. Maximum study period for the S1 (Bachelor’s) program is years or semesters and the student must not be from a study period extension/renewal (Pembaharuan Masa Studi – PMS), in accordance with the Head of BAA Letter No. 074/A.2-II/BAA/IV/2021.
  5. Time elapsed since graduating with a Medical Bachelor’s degree from FK UMS is years (evidenced by the date on the SKL). If the time elapsed since graduating with a Medical Bachelor’s degree is years, a matriculation program will be implemented. If the time elapsed since graduating is years, an entrance qualification examination for the Professional Education Program will be held.
  6. Clear of any obligations from the Thesis Office (Biro Skripsi), evidenced by a letter from the Thesis Office.

  4. The hard copy of the registration file, which contains: the fully completed registration form stapled together with the required attachments, must then be placed in a BLUE folder and submitted to the FK UMS Profession Section administrator.
