Quality Assurance

Quality assurance is an ongoing process to monitor the achievement of the Strategic Plan (Renstra) and institutional policy implementation. This process adheres to international, national, university, and faculty standards. This multi-layered approach ensures that all Tridarma activities and institutional governance align with established standards.

Plan (P)

The fundamental cycle of continuous quality improvement begins with Plan. This stage produces important documents such as quality standards, strategic plans, SOPs, and the internal quality assurance system (SPMI). It ensures that all Tridarma activities at FK UMS are well-planned, measurable, and oriented toward continuous quality improvement

Do (D)

The next stage of quality assurance involves implementing the plan in daily operational activities. All activities must align with the standards and procedures established in the Plan stage.

Tridarma Implementation

The Faculty of Medicine UMS consistently implements the Tridarma of Higher Education based on established policies through quality and sustainable education, research, and community service.

Check (C)

After activities are implemented, FK UMS conducts internal quality audits (AMI) and monitoring and evaluation (monev) twice a year to measure the achievement of quality standards. FK UMS also consistently pursues institutional accreditation at both national and international levels to maintain and enhance educational quality

Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)

Internal quality audit focused on systematic evaluation of study program and faculty activities in accordance with FK UMS SPMI.

Routine Monitoring and Evaluation (MONEV) is conducted based on agreed measurement instruments. There are two types of MONEV: Surveys and Student Evaluation of Lecturers (EDOM).

2. Student Evaluation of Lecturers (EDOM)
To enhance service and learning quality, FK UMS regularly conducts evaluations through the integrated academic system at star.ums.ac.id. EDOM results can be accessed at star.ums.ac.id/sia/epbm. Below is a snapshot of the 2025/2026 EDOM results:

In addition to internal evaluation, FK UMS also regularly undergoes assessment by external assessors to determine the quality eligibility of its study programs.

Action (A)

The final step is to take corrective and collaborative actions to address process and system deficiencies. Reformulating plans for the next cycle is also necessary to maintain excellence in quality.

MRM (Management Review Meeting)

Management review meetings are conducted by FK UMS leadership to evaluate the existing system.

Follow-up is a vital point in the continuous improvement process. FK UMS will promptly address findings from the check process, enabling standard improvements to be made based on measured achievements.
