This strategic partnership was formalized in a signing ceremony held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

The scope of this collaboration is comprehensive, covering all three pillars of Higher Education—education, research, and community service. One of the key priorities discussed in depth was FK UMSU’s support in the preparation for the establishment of the Primary Care Family Medicine Specialist Program (Sp.KKLP) at FK UMS, sharing experiences and best practices as an institution with existing expertise in this area.

The collaboration, however, extends beyond this program. The PKS serves as a legal framework for developing various other synergies, including lecturer and student exchanges, joint research initiatives, scientific publications, and innovative community service programs.

The signing ceremony was attended by:

  • dr. Siti Masliana Siregar, Sp.THT-KL., Subsp.Rino(K) – Dean of FK UMSU

The event was also witnessed by Dr. dr. Isti Ilmiati Fujiati, M.Sc. CM-FM., M.Pd.Ked., FISPH, FISCM, Sp.KKLP, Subsp.COMC, the Rector’s Staff Advisor at UMSU & Chair of PDSKKI, who expressed full support for this strategic collaboration.

“This is a significant step forward. We are not only focusing on a single program but also building a strong foundation for a broad and sustainable partnership. We thank FK UMSU for their trust and hope that this synergy will make a tangible impact on the advancement of medical education in Indonesia,” said Dr. dr. Flora Ramona Sigit Prakoeswa, Dean of FK UMS.

This cooperation is expected to serve as an effective model for collaboration between medical faculties, accelerating innovation, and contributing significantly to the development of national health.
