Young Doctors’ Oath Ceremony: 41st Cohort

The Young Doctors’ Oath Ceremony for the 41st Cohort was held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq Hall, 5th Floor, FK UMS, attended by 147 Young Doctors from FK UMS. The event marked a significant milestone for students before entering the clinical education phase at affiliated hospitals.

The oath ceremony was attended by directors from three hospitals designated as Young Doctor placement sites. Among those present were representatives from RSUD dr. Harjono S Ponorogo as the Primary Teaching Hospital, RSUD dr. Sayidiman Magetan, and RS PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta.

The attendance of the affiliated hospital leaders demonstrated a shared commitment to supporting the clinical education process for FK UMS Young Doctors, ensuring it runs optimally, with clear direction, and in accordance with medical competency standards.

Remarks and Guidance from Leaders

In her remarks, the Dean of FK UMS emphasized that the Young Doctors’ oath is not merely a ceremony but a moral and professional pledge that must be upheld throughout clinical education and beyond into their careers as physicians. The Young Doctors were urged to uphold the good name of the institution, maintain high standards of medical ethics, and prioritize patient safety and comfort.

The Chief Director of the Primary Teaching Hospital, RSUD dr. Harjono S Ponorogo, also offered guidance and encouragement to the Young Doctors, urging them to remain disciplined, adaptive, and proactive in learning throughout their clinical rotations. Hospital-based education, he noted, is a crucial phase in shaping the character and professionalism that will determine the quality of future physicians.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Education Coordination Committee (Komkordik) highlighted the importance of collaboration among students, supervising lecturers, and medical staff at hospitals in creating a conducive learning environment oriented toward quality healthcare services.

Professional Commitment and Islamic Values

Through the 41st Young Doctors’ Oath Ceremony, FK UMS hopes that its Young Doctors will be able to integrate knowledge, clinical skills, and Islamic values in every aspect of healthcare practice.

The ceremony was conducted in a solemn and meaningful manner, marking the beginning of the Young Doctors’ journey in serving the community through professional, principled, and compassionate healthcare.
