The Academic Community of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) proudly extends heartfelt congratulations to Ainun Ni’mah Syawaliyah, for achieving Honorable Mention in the Essay Competition of Ahmad Dahlan International Seminar #3 – 2025, under the subtheme Global Health and Well-Being.

Through her essay titled
“The Triple Burden: A Youth Call for Action on Infectious, Non-Communicable, and Neglected Tropical Diseases,”
Ainun delivered a powerful message on the vital role of youth in addressing the world’s three major health challenges — infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, and neglected tropical diseases. This achievement reflects the critical thinking, compassion, and global vision of UMS medical students in contributing to health advancement and community well-being.
