Medan – The Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (FK UMS) conducted a benchmarking visit to the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Prima Indonesia (FK UNPRI) in Medan on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. This visit is part of FK UMS’s preparation for international accreditation by IAAHEH (Indonesian Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health).
The FK UMS delegation, consisting of the Dean, members of the Dean’s Office, and representatives from the Quality Assurance Team, was warmly welcomed by the leadership of FK UNPRI. Also present at the meeting were Prof. Dr. dr. H. Gusbakti Rusip, M.Sc., Sp.KKLP., Subsp.FOMC(K)., PKK., AIFM., AIFO-K, Dean of FK UNPRI, and Kolonel CKM (Purn.) drg. Susanto, M.Kes, Vice Dean 4 of FK UNPRI.
As an institution that has already achieved international accreditation, FK UNPRI shared valuable insights on various aspects of accreditation preparation. Through in-depth discussions, the FK UMS team gained a deeper understanding of preparations for the field assessment, meeting IAAHEH standards, and building a sustainable quality system.
“We greatly appreciate FK UNPRI’s willingness to share their knowledge and experience in preparing for this international accreditation. This benchmarking visit is a strategic step for FK UMS in enhancing its education quality towards global standards,” stated a representative from FK UMS.
This benchmarking activity is expected to accelerate FK UMS’s preparation process for international accreditation while strengthening networks and collaboration among medical education institutions in Indonesia.
