Surakarta — The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (FK UMS), through the FK UMS Library, successfully conducted a Digital Literacy Socialization Session on the Utilization of Osmosis from Elsevier to Support Learning on Friday, 14 November 2025. The virtual event recorded an impressive turnout with more than 500 participants, consisting of both lecturers and students.
The session featured Hooi Ping Chee, Education Solutions and Publishing Manager, Elsevier Health Southeast Asia, who presented an overview of how Osmosis can serve as a powerful visual learning resource to enhance understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and various clinical concepts.
High Enthusiasm and Active Engagement
Participants showed strong enthusiasm, reflected in the large number of questions raised regarding the integration of Osmosis into learning activities, curriculum alignment, and strategies for optimizing study using visual content and interactive quizzes.
